Tideh it a start

So day one goes a little something like this (You KNOW you're curious)  I'll do this CSI style (insert dramatic theme music):

South Florida

6:30am:    Sitting in Sunrise's version of morning traffic (believe me this isn't)..if you can drive through two or more school zones at 15mph and still make it across town in 30mins...sorry to break it to you but, that's NOT traffic.

8:02am:     Doing the breakfast thing....um sorta?  Super large coffee and a sweet sugary donut (don't judge me - you know you want one)

9:43am:     Pulled into the lot by JNMT (that's Jamaica National Money Transfer to those not in the know), it's the 12th Street location and even empty it somehow looks smaller than it did last year.  Some acrobatics might be needed here,  'scuse me while I stretch!

(insert clock with fast moving hands)

4:42pm: Answered the standard questions again and again and again.  "Yes it seems early but we have other countries to visit", "no they won't be able to see it right away in Jamaica", "yes it's free, courtesy of JN", "No it won't be on the radio"...and on and on and on...

6:50pm:  Packed up the gear...said our goodbyes "See you tomorrow JN staff"

8:13pm:  Yehhhh Dinner!  thinking...I'll upload some video tomorrrow zzzzzzzzzzzzzz...no now's better, um wait...maybe tomorrow zzzzzzzzzzzz...

It's 24th street next!

..Pon Yu Eartstrong...

So, as you know, GATW (that's Greetings Across The World, you should know that by now) is all about greetings..we make sure your 'shut-outs' get where they need to go every year, without fail.  Sometimes we get the occasional anniversary or birthday wish  thrown into the mix, we're happy to deliver those as well.  Gotta tell you though, rarely do we get to send our own greetings, but today is a special one...no not 'big up to Ms Maude in Mucko" or even "To mi husband and mi boyfriend, luv yu St8"...Nuh uh...this one is a special delivery to this guy.

His name is Clarence Royes and if you've ever sent greetings, seen someone else sending greetings, watched it on TV, stood in the next room and overheard it on TV...(I could keep going but I won't - I'm sure you get the picture)..anyway, this is the man responsible and today is his birthday...when he started this he was 10(So now he's 34...They sure do grow up fast don't they?...I guess traveling ages you)...I'll keep you posted on what lying does *wink* *wink*.

In true GATW fashion, we'll say ... "Big up to Clarence on 'im earthstrong, many more my yute, suu sen di money" ...

Chrismaas? Aredy?

Here at GATW (Greetings Across The World), the season kicks off in July (yes I said July)...Paying fees, hours of standing in various lines for visas.  Writing letters, meeting about meetings to have meetings.  Long distance phone calls.  Weeks of waiting for travel documents, searching for airline tickets, checking equipment, more fees, finding hotels...this year we had the pleasure of being fingerprinted as well! Lemme just say this...bring a book, an umbrella and a snack!
After all that is done, we pack (making sure to weigh each item before placing it in its assigned spot in the luggage), measure our liquids, hop on a plane, try to bypass airport security without being harassed eerr sorry, I mean 'questioned for our own safety'....head to the JN Branch, set-up and wait for you.  So when you walk into your local JN branch and see us standing there with the lights and camera set-up in the middle of October...don't say....

"Chrismaas??........Aredy:?....how unno so previous?"

truth is...we've been at it since July...where YOU been?  Merry Christmas!
